Requirements for Certification

• Completion of Brainspotting phase 1 and 2 trainings in person or online, and one advanced course: Phase 3, 4, 5 or Masterclass.

• Complete a minimum of 6 hours* of consultation with the same approved Brainspotting Consultant or complete a 5-day Intensive with an approved Brainspotting Trainer.

• Document 50 Brainspotting Sessions representing the 9 Frame Set ups from Phase 1 & 2

• All requirements must be completed within two years of completing the last required training course.

• Payment of a USD 150 certification fee to Brainspotting Trainings, Inc. (Certification is to be reviewed and awarded by Brainspotting Trainings, Inc.)

• Certification requires agreement to the Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Practice.

• Recertification is required every two years.

*No more than two consultation sessions completed prior to completing Phase 2 will count towards certification. Please note group consultation is to inform your practice but does not replace the required 1:1 consultation hours for certification. Certification requires 1:1 certification sessions as it is competency and case study based.
